PCL Handheld Digital Tyre Inflators

The best available lightweight digital inflators from PCL, we take a look at the main differences below.

PCL’s Accura 1 vs. Accura MK4 vs. DTI Inflator: The Key Differences

There are a few key differences in PCL’s three main handheld options of digital tyre inflators. These are mainly: Functionality and Price.

Functionality: The Accura MK4 is the more advanced and functional of the digital inflators. As an illustration, the MK4 allows you to easily toggle between three different types of calibration (PSI, bar & kPa). The Accura 1 on the other hand, only gives you one type of calibration. As a result, you would need to buy the Accura 1 inflator that suited you (either measuring in PSI, bar or kPa). The DTI inflator is also a perfectly capable digital tyre inflator – it just doesn’t have the bells & whistles of the MK4 or Accura 1.

Price: If you are looking for a perfectly capable digital tyre inflator on a budget, then the PCL DTI tyre inflator is a great choice. It’s the mid-range version of the Accura 1. In fact, it’s both easy to use and cost effective with prices starting at around £75 (excl vat). having said that all three of the featured digital tyre inflators offer fantastic value for money.

The Accura MK4 is the best option for trucks and heavier vehicles as the PSI reaches 250 – which is even enough for aircraft! Compare that to 170 psi of the DTI and 174 psi of the Accura 1.
